The
Orange Street newsletter, 9th June 2005.
News.
A
delay in the newsletter this month due to holiday. Back to normal now
though.
Three
gigs in May to report on. First up we were back in Lymington at the
Wellworthys club supported by one of the best bands around, Joeys Dead. We
hope to be working with them again very soon. Next up was Club Ska in
Rayners Lane supporting Bad Manners. A very busy night (as expected), and a
great crowd. Final gig was at the Portsmouth Post Office Club. If you were
there you will know we were not at our best, Ryan (drummer) injured his hand
on the Friday so we had to find a replacement drummer. So Dave stood in,
first time ever playing with the band (first time meeting the band as well),
he did a great job.
June
has three gigs coming up. First up is our debut at the Hampshire Rose in
Portsmouth (Saturday 11th June), followed by the North Star in Gosport
(Saturday 18th June) and finally our first major scooter rally. We are at
The Shires scooter rally on Saturday 25th June.
A
few new gigs have been booked over the last month as well. New gigs booked
are at The Heron (Leigh Park), The Blue Lagoon (Hilsea Lido), Gaz's Rockin'
Blues (Soho) and The Red Lion in Totton. See the gigs page on the website
for more info, or there is an up to date list of gigs at the foot of the
newsletter.
Thanks
this month go to Dave for standing in at such short notice, and also to
Melanie for the photos.
Finally,
as always, feel free to email us and tell us what you think about a gig, or
if you have any pics that we can use.
We
hope to see you all at a gig soon.
As
always, any comments/reviews/pictures relating to anything to do with the
