The Orange Street newsletter, 3rd January 2005.

News.
Four gigs in December to talk about. First gig of the month we were back in Netley, and as requested so many times, we will be coming back as soon as possible (March). The next gig was our biggest gig to date, approximately 500 people turned up to see Bad Manners, The Beat and Orange Street at Southsea Pier. We also managed to get a recording of this gig (more below). The next gig was back in Farnborough at the Tumbledown Dick for the A5 Scooter club Christmas party. We had two fantastic support bands, "Joeys Dead" and "Well-a-live", we are planning on putting more events during the year partnering with those. Final gig of the month was another one in front of a capacity crowd. The Carling Academy in Islington saw Bad Manners, The Big and Orange Street. In all, a big month for the band, and a great high to end the year on.

Pictures from three of the December gigs are already uploaded to the website, the final gig pics will be uploaded shortly.

As mentioned above, we managed to get a good recording of the Southsea Pier gig. This is now on our CD titled "So this is Tango!" and is available from gigs for £4 each, or on the website at £4.50 (the extra to cover P&P). Click the "Shop" button to access samples from the CD or click the following:- http://www.orangestreet.co.uk/shop/sothisistango.htm

January is intentionally a quiet month for us. We have had a busy year so are taking things a little slow for a few weeks. The one gig we do have booked should be a great evening. One Step Below (from Bristol) are visting Mr Kyps in Poole on Saturday 15th Jan. We have supported them before, it was an excellent night. A few pics/comments from that gig are available at the following link:-

Finally we would like to thank everyone for their support during 2004 and hope we can count on you again in 2005.
