The Orange Street newsletter, November 9th 2004.

News.
A late newsletter this month. Sorry, all should be back to normal now.

Six gigs in October. Our first gig at the Tramways in Shirley, followed by a welcome return by both band and audience to the Netley Central Club (we are back in early December and have already booked gigs for next year). Next up was a very lively return to Totton for both band and audience. We had been searching for a new venue in Totton for some time, and now have a regular place thanks to the Red Lion. We will be back there four times during 2005 (the landlady wanted us back before the end of the year but we could not fit it in). Another good (and interesting) gig at the Oakdale in Poole followed by a very busy night in Soho. Final gig of the month was our first appearance at the Cowplain social club.

A relatively quite November for us. We have already played at the Waterside social club, and will also be at the following venues.
Sat 13th The North Star, Gosport.
Fri 26th, The Romsey Tavern.
Sat 27th, Anchor and Hope, Shirley.

One cancellation in November, the one year anniversary of "Ska Town Presents" has been called off. We have booked a replacement gig though, 30th December at the Carling Academy in Islington supporting Bad Manners. This venue holds over 1000 and a full house is expected. Get your tickets early to see two of the best bands in the country performing on the same night.

Finally, this months "thanks". First, a big thanks to Simon from Rat Race for standing in at the Oakdale at very short notice. Check out their new website, there is a link from ours (designed by Kirsty, the designer of the our website). And thanks once again to Jason from Urban Rhythm for helping out. Thanks once again to both Melanie and Paul for pics from gigs (all available on the website). Final thanks go to Steve The Rat (from Rat Race) for the review of the Gaz's Rockin Blues gig. The band appreciate all the help and hope one day we can return the favour in some way.
